Platform fee & auto-upgrade
How the platform fee acts as a usage floor, and how plans upgrade automatically as usage grows.
Platform fee as a floor
Paid plans carry a monthly platform fee that credits toward usage — it's a floor, not a surcharge. Your usage draws down against the fee first; you're billed beyond it only when usage exceeds the included amount.

Auto-upgrade
Relay looks at your usage over the trailing 30 days. When it reaches a plan's platform fee — $50 for Team, $500 for Business — Relay moves you up to that plan automatically, so you're always on the tier that matches your usage. Enterprise is never reached automatically.
Some capabilities are plan-gated, not usage-unlocked. Custom RBAC and private networking start on Business; SSO and org-wide session policy are Enterprise. They come with the plan that includes them — usage alone never unlocks them.
