Plans & feature matrix

Relay's plans — Free, Team, Business, and Enterprise — and what each one unlocks.

Relay has four plans. Usage (database node-hours, storage, seats) is billed as you go on paid plans; the plan you're on determines which capabilities are available.

Plan summaries

  • Free — a single-user sandbox with one free database per organization: an R5 (0.5 vCPU, 1 GiB) single node with up to 5 GiB of storage. Every account starts with a sample database named test in that slot; delete it to create your own, with any engine and region, from Quick mode or the CLI (--tier R5). Up to 3 connections and 2 self-hosted agents per workspace, so you can try the CLI and the agent against your own databases; the default connections Relay creates for a managed database don't count toward the 3. Masking, the query firewall, and access grants start on Team; Free can set a query-audit retention window of up to 7 days.
  • Team — self-serve, pay-as-you-go managed databases with analytics, plus the full governance layer, with query-audit retention windows of up to 30 days.
  • Business — everything in Team, plus custom roles/RBAC and private networking, with query-audit retention windows of up to 1 year.
  • Enterprise — everything in Business, plus SSO (OIDC), org-wide session policy, unlimited audit retention, and contractual terms (invoicing/PO, SLA, DPA).

Some capabilities are plan-gated, not usage-unlocked: custom RBAC and private networking start on Business, and SSO and org-wide session policy are Enterprise only. They're available on the plan that includes them regardless of usage.
