Workspaces

Isolate environments and teams within an organization, each with its own members, teams, and roles.

A workspace is a scope within an organization for isolating environments (e.g. staging vs production) or teams. Databases, connections, agents, and policies live in a workspace.

Membership and roles

A workspace has its own members and teams, and roles are assigned per-workspace.

Holding a role in the organization does not by itself grant access inside a workspace. To act in a workspace you must be granted a workspace role (directly or via a team), or be an organization admin/owner. See RBAC.

When you create a workspace you become its admin, so you're never locked out. New organization members are added to the default workspace automatically.

From the CLI

relay ws create <name>
